About Mickle's Custom Homes

This section is not about me - it’s “about us!” Building a dream home requires the cooperation and positive focus from everyone on the team: my crew, subcontractors, suppliers, and the home owners.

Being a General Contractor is similar to being a coach of a professional football, basketball or baseball team. They have a game plan and each talented player has to do their job in conjunction with his teammates in order to achieve their one common focused goal – to win. This feat requires “team spirit.”   

And so it is with home construction. As the coach of my home building team, I’m in charge of my talented tradesmen. We go over the building plans together. I coordinate and oversee their work to make sure that everything is done according to the client’s plans. This makes it a win-win situation for my customers and everyone involved in the project.

Before starting my own company, I worked as an apprentice in the construction field and spent years learning the building trade. So I know first hand the dedication, time and training that it takes to acquire the necessary skills to become a top-of-the-line craftsman. This is why I respect and place such a high value on my hard-working, talented crews. I believe that if I encourage and treat them fairly -- with the respect that they deserve -- they will give me the best that’s in them.

“Team spirit” requires a positive attitude from everyone involved in the project so that they can harmoniously work together with one common focused goal: to build a home that is level, square, strong and true -- at the best price possible; a home that the customer can be proud to live in for years to come.
